Since the first book was pretty short and fast to read we are doing another book for December - it is .......

This is the winner from 2000.

Enjoy!

There is a funny part in this book where Bud talks about turning 6 and that is when you start to become and adult. He then says that is when your teeth start falling out and how your tongue just can't leave the tooth or the hole that exists after it falls out alone - so true. Anyways I like how he talks about how freaked out he is by it and if your arms or legs are going to fall off too. I wasn't really freaked out about anything else falling off but were any of you?

For those of us who are not stay at home mothers (Lauren and me) can we request only one book a month?

Are you serious - do you know when I read - at night after Ryder goes to bed - At least you don't have anyone to take care of at night! Besides these books are short.

I have to agree with Lindsay...Are you Serious!!! I know you work during the day but I don't read during the day either...come on buck up! Remember how you wish you could sacasamize (like italicize) your words...it's in there ( a little :)

Sorry if my comment sounded mean I didn't mean for it to be, but I will have to say I had less to do when I worked full time

Hey your comments weren't mean and I hope you didn't think that by "stay at home" meant that's all you were doing. RESPECT to the mothers! I have had office jobs before and let me tell you, teaching is sooo much more work and time consuming. Hey I may not have anyone to take care of at home- thanks for the single awareness :) -but I have about 50 kids to keep track of for 8 hours of the day (and plan for and papers to grade for another 2 hours a night at least). I'll read when I can. I just wish I could read more so I can read 2 a month!

Anyone started reading this yet? Another funny part I liked is when Bud not Buddy meets the singer of the band and she has all the sparkly diamonds on her hand and he thinks that she must have to put them in a box at night so they don't keep her up because of all of the sparkling!

Oh one more - when Bud gets to go to a restaurant and gets to order whatever he wants and is talking about all of the smells of the food mixing together and he says - this must be what heaven smells like!

We are still dragging out Despereaux with the girls. Hopefully to finish it this week. I wrapped our Bud not Buddy up for Christmas but Lindsay advised that it might not be the best read aloud to do with the girls so hopefully I can cruise through it.
